From as far back as her pre-teens; Turquayia Bell has had a passion for style and beauty. She began her career in middle school when she would experiment with different hair styles on her friends and family. By the time she was in high school, her appointment book was filled. After high school Turquayia went on to graduate from Chic University and currently is a traveling beautician. Turquayia doesn’t just “do” hair, but she designs hair styles to fit an individual’s personality. Combined with her love for hair design; she also has a love for fashion design. Turquayia’s unique and creative fashion vision led her to design all of her own dresses for her high school formal dances and eventually for her peers. Sweet Nature Sweet Nature by Eddie
After suffering severe hair loss and searching for products to help re-grow her hair without any success, Eddie decided to formulate her own product line; Sweet Nature by Eddie. She has also authored a guide on growing healthy hair and conducts hair care workshops and consultations where she educates Black women on how to grow and maintain healthy hair. Eddie writes hair care articles for three online magazines and has been promoted to a Platinum Author for the quality of her articles. She was named the female entrepreneur of the 1990’s and has been accepted to the Who’s Who in North America business directory for her work in the hair care industry. In a little over 2 years Eddie has managed to get her products in six beauty salons in six different states; as well as a beauty supply store in London, England. Janelle is a key component to the group as she brings Management experience as well as her Master's Degree in Human Resources Development, which has prepared her to build relationships essential to sustaining and growing the business. She is instrumental in organizing and heading up fund raiser events, seeking out opportunities for partnerships and growth, as well as providing essential input and strategies. Janelle has recently authored a biography, which she entitled "Judge Not". Her book documents various trials as well as triumphs. Her mission is to reach out to young women to assist in empowering them, inspiring them and motivating them so that they are one day able to follow their dreams and achieve their goals. Eloise Mayweather-Harris began her career in furniture design in the early 1970s. As her years in the business progressed, so did her knowledge of marbleizing, antiquing, webbing, gold leafing, and many more techniques used in creating and refurbishing fine furniture. Soon Eloise was not only learning new techniques, but she was creating them as well as teaching them to others. In the 1990’s, Eloise’ traveled throughout the United States to demonstrate her design techniques. Through her employer, she designed unique and exclusive pieces for many high profile people such as Michael Jordan, Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, Aretha Franklin and President George Bush. Her pieces have been displayed in Klingman’s Furniture and Israel’s Furniture. Eloise not only does furniture design, but she also does interior decorating, floral arrangements and fashion design.
